Inspired by a vision of a world in which all veterinary professionals feel fulfilled at the
end of each day of work, we created Flourish Veterinary Consulting LLC.
Our purpose is to revolutionize the veterinary field by promoting self-sustaining,
flourishing work environments one hospital at a time. We do this by increasing the
well-being of individuals, teams, and hospitals through the use of positive
psychology and other evidence-based tools.
Together with you, we can elevate your team and business from "survive" to "thrive."
Marianne Mallonee, CVPM
Marianne began her adventure in veterinary medicine in 1988 and has since filled just about every position the field has to offer. She considers her defining roles in her career journey as ownership and leadership of a burgeoning specialty, emergency and general practice hospital.
Having helped navigate a large scale merger and the creation of Ethos Veterinary Health, she suddenly found herself in a new reality of having spent all her energy. Recognizing that a leader can’t lead on empty, she made the toughest decision of her life and stepped away from her position in the company she loved. Since then she’s committed to rejuvenating herself and making a difference for others by helping folks in the veterinary field grow, thrive, and flourish. Marianne has certificates in Change Management, Extended DISC and Positive Psychology and is currently engaged in a two-year Equine Gestalt Life Coaching certification program. She co-founded Flourish Veterinary Consulting LLC as a conduit for giving back
and supporting others.
Marianne lives in Colorado with her two old kitty cats, Nala and Tandia. She enjoys spending time outside hiking, drinking craft beer, traveling the world, and riding horses whenever she can.
Josh has been a proud member of the veterinary community since 1995. In 2009, he took the leap into practice management and ownership, and continued in those roles in two small-animal hospitals until 2018. A lifetime optimist and overall “happy guy,” Josh was shocked to find himself feeling spent, alone, and crying over breakfast while his surprised wife looked on with disbelief. Recognizing he had burnt himself out, he made the difficult decision to step away and recapture his authentic self. Since then he’s dedicated his professional trajectory to elevating veterinary staff and teams so they can authentically flourish in their work. To that end he’s obtained certificates in areas such as Positive Psychology, Workplace Culture, and Building Effective Teams from prominent universities and co-founded Flourish Veterinary Consulting LLC to bring the knowledge to life.
Josh lives in Colorado with his amazing wife, 3 insane parrots, 2 Great Danes that occasionally share the couch, a 7 lb cat known as the “Golden Child,” some fish tanks and a few bee hives.
In his free time, he enjoys teaching about beekeeping, playing indoor soccer, and dreaming about moving to Kauai.
